Why did you choose to go to Pescara, Italy?

Honestly it was my last option, but today I have to say that I am super happy to have been living there, because life there is not too expensive and, as it is almost a village, you can go wherever you want by bus.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I received around 600 € each month and it was enough to live, obviously it wasn't enough to travel as all Erasmus would like, but at the end, the scope of this money is your maintenance in the city as a student.

What is the student lifestyle like in Pescara?

It's easy, there are a lot of students, all places are more o less near, there are discos and parties organized by students; if you want, you can have fun.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Pescara to other students?

It depends on your preferences. If you are looking for a big university city, it is not your place. But if you want to get contact with people easily and to get quickly everywhere, Pescara is your city!

What is the food like?

Italian food is Mediterranean food, you can eat whatever you want. In addition, you can taste the fabulous "Arrosticini" (lamb/mutton) typical from Abruzzo's region.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Pescara?

No, it was very easy. I contacted ESN group, where right now I take part, and they helped me to look for an accommodation, as I wanted. ESN group has a very important role into an Erasmus life. They are always available to help you.

How much does it cost to live in Pescara?

It depends where you live and how much your daily charges are, but having the usual charges you can live well with 600€.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

It depends where you are from. For latin people it is easier because it's very similar. I didn't know how to say anything in Italian and after 2 months I could have a conversation more or less with native people. In the University they offer you two weeks of Italian course, but it is not enough. You have to study Italian language by yourself, living and going out with Italian people.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Pescara from your city?

I'm from Seville. The first time I took a plane to Rome and a bus to arrive in Pescara. But from Seville it is easily accessible if you go to Milano, Bologna or other cities, and then you take a bus to Pescara.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Pescara?

In the winter, there is a zone called "Corso Manthonè" that is full of bars. To go to the discos you have to be here because they change place every year! In the summer all places next to the beach are beautiful! In the summer Pescara is wonderful!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Pescara?

It's full of good restaurants, whatever you go you will eat very well.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

It is a relative new city, so there aren't too many monuments to see, but you have the beach and the mountains very near!
