Live in Pavia is really great if you're a student. There are a lot of initiatives and parties, you can meet a lot of people of your age. The negative side of living in Pavia is represented by the weather, it's often rainy and foggy.

I think it's good because the main attraction of Pavia is her university, so everything fits for students.

How much does it cost to live in Pavia?

Pavia is really cheap, especially confronted with big city like Milan. Eating and having fun out is not expensive at all. There are conventions for students: transports, cinema...

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Pavia? Is there any advice you can give?

Not at all! There are a lot of apartments for students and a lot of colleges! I strongly recommend to find and accommodation in college: it's an unforgivable experience.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

In Pavia you can find typical Italian food but also ethnic restaurants and they are all very cheap.

What places would you recommend visiting in Pavia?

Duomo, Certosa di Pavia and the Oltrepò Pavese, in which you can find wonderful landscape

Is it good to eat out in Pavia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

My favourite spots are "Santorini" (greek restaurant) and "Amalfitana" where in my opinion there is the best pizza in Pavia. Both are cheap.

It's really good, especially when colleges organize their parties.

What advice would you give future students heading to Pavia?

Don't be shy, any student would be glad to help you. "The system" is slow and difficult to understand, but with the right advice you will be able to front it.

    Hi Lara. Did you live there in a residence? could you tell me a bit of your experience in the residence, if it was the case. because some people are telling me that isn't worth it, and that sharing a flat will be better.
