Oulu: a finnish cold city in the northern Ostrobothnia

Hello everybody - Hola a todos!

Back I'm here for explain briefly my sensations about the Erasmus Oulu experience. I've been living in Oulu 4 months, and I can say that this place is quite good to stay for 1 semester or for the whole year. In my case, hopefully I'm going to stay all the year.

I would like to say that Finland (Suomi in finnish) has a lot of opportunities for the exchange students who looks for activities, parties, so on; for instance, to walk around the lakes or the sea (gulf of Bothnia I mean). Or if you prefer to go out, there are so many places such as Tivoli, Kaarle, Dione, Apollo. Those are the most importants discos where you can go, and those aren't expensive. (Max. 3 or 4€, but the most of times, the entrance is free! )

Where I'm living, in a peripheric area called Linnamaa (located in the north of the city, if you look for in google map), some of advantages are: the proximity to the Oulu University and the supermarkets (Tokmanni, Sale)...

In the university, it exists the ESN & NISO. They are two student's groups that create finnish events for exchange students exclusively. Moreover, they organize some trips throughout the finnish territory, like Lappland or a Baltic cruise (very recommendable).

Also, if you decide to go there probably you'll know a lot of students like you, that look for the same as you: fun, parties, alcohol, travels, concerts and so on!

At last, I've written this post only in English because I think more people it can be interested (not only spanish)...

Soon, I'll talk about more items of Finland.

Regards.
