Why did you choose to go to Osnabrück, Germany?

Because that was one of cities where I could do my Erasmus.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I did Erasmus for one semester. The scholarship is not enough but I have worked before because I knew that the money from Erasmus is never enough. I worked also during the months I spent in Osnabrück.

What is the student lifestyle like in Osnabrück?

I liked the student lifestyle very much. The university has many faculties in different places of the city. The people are really nice and friendly. I had many friends and not just among the Erasmus students. I had lot of german friends too.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Osnabrück to other students?

Of course. The city is not so big but you get a student card with which you can travel to other cities in the region. That was one of the best things because in the region there are cities like Münster, Bremen, Hanover etc. I really loved the university as well. The teachers were amazing and I really enjoyed the courses I chose. They were very high quality.

What is the food like?

I think that was the best thing. The university has its own "cantine" and it won many times the award of the best university mensa. The food is so good, healthy, cheap. You have every day vegetables and meat. I loved it the most and is one of the things I miss the most.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Osnabrück?

The accommodation was provided by the university. It has many dormitories. I lived in one, near to the university and city centre. I had a beautiful and big room, I cannot complain.

How much does it cost to live in Osnabrück?

I think a normal person needs around 400 euros. I am a special case because I don't smoke, I don't drink alcohol.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I studied German and English so for me the language were not a problem. But there are courses, I assisted to one of them. Lots of people learnt really fast. It also depends on your attitude. If you want to learn, you can do it.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Osnabrück?

Glanz und Gloria and the salsa bars.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Osnabrück in the future?

Use the opportunity to travel to as many places as you can with the student card. That is something that not every university provides. Try to participate in the trips that the university organises and be fast because the places are always fast reserved. In winter don't miss the Christmas market in Bremen or in other cities; that is really beautiful. Enjoy the time because Erasmus is the best thing that can happen to student!
