How much does it cost to live in Oslo?

It is quite expensive if you a student and living by yourself.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Oslo has kind of everything. Indian, Thai, Chinese, Norwegian but also fast food chaines like Friday’s and McDonald’s.

What places would you recommend visiting in Oslo?

I would reccomend Karl Johans gate for shopping, the Palace which is a 2min walk form the trainstation Nationaltheatret and also Spikersuppa. All of these are nearby each other.

What advice would you give future students heading to Oslo?

Maybe find a job beside school to save money and get you mind off schoolwork. It can get very hectic. Also try to learn some common words in Norwegian as they are not the best at spraking english. And last but not least, ENJOY! Also do not forget to bring warm clothes, it gets is cold in Norway - all of the year. The summers are not the varmest, maybe 25°C if we’re lucky. There are only a few days of those. But the winter is another level. So try skiing or skating. Good luck!
