Imagine living in a city where everything is between two worlds. Where the reminding’s of the past are in constant battle with the new comers of the future. Where one who can define the present, is a happy being.

Now take a plane and be with me here just for a short while.

The morning breeze blowing in your eyes as you open the window overlooking a forest of palm trees. Orihuela's live is governed by the church bell which with his rhythm reminds you how much time of your life has passed and a melody that seems resigned. People seem to be fulfilled. Maybe because the spring, meaning the tornado that wind will blow your worries away.

Studying what you like, in a new environment is the first part of the day, after that you have the rest of the time to get to know your new colleagues and visit your new home city for the next months. New is the keyword.

Sure you can find some week points to the picture I`m seeing (especially if your into art and creative stuff, than you`ll need to take a train to see the cultural events to the nearest city - Murcia, Elche, Alicante), but the only important one is a feeling that one will have no matter where he/she comes from or where the Erasmus life has taken him – and that is the feeling of being a stranger.

Something that helps me overpass this is thinking that is only a short time of my life, that I have to enjoy

And that in no time (I now have less than 3 months to spend in Orihuela) I`ll be taking the same plane back to Romania. Only to find out that I am not the same person that a few months ago was a lot more scared that I could imagine, arriving here.

No matter where you come from or where you go, the Erasmus experience enriches you, and hopefully it will be the best part of your years as a student.
