What is it like to live in Oradea? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Oradea is very cheap, the city is not dead, in fact, there are a lot of young people, students also and in the nights at the city centre there is always a party in the bars. The city has a nice architecture and a big old centre. You can also be in nature very quick, there are parks, along riverside bank across all the city, beautifull!

What is the student lifestyle like in Oradea?

Lots of nightlife in the center. It is a cheap city for students.

How much does it cost to live in Oradea?

Renting just a room is around 50 euros, renting a one-room apartment is 100 euro! Food is very cheap, for example, a pizza slice is 80 cents, a full pizza 3-4 euro, drinks for 1 euro.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Oradea? Is there any advice you can give?

The newspaper is full of rentals, also at the university, you can find them at the entrance.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There is no local cuisine here, we eat pizza and hamburgers.

What places would you recommend visiting in Oradea?

A huge historical old centre and a lot of green area in and not far from the city.

Is it good to eat out in Oradea? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are no famous spots here. Just go out in the centre and all over the place, you will find quick food.

Is the nightlife good in Oradea? Where is good to go?

Usually, at least 3 nights the clubs, bars are full of young people in the centre of the city.

What advice would you give future students heading to Oradea?

Just one advice: the city, the culture and food are not something incredible or special, BUT here everything is super cheap and universities are not taken seriously, so you can graduate pretty easy with not much of effort or money.
