The city is surrounded by nature, a lot of lakes, forests. I would recommend living in a dorm. There lives a lot of friendly people.

How much does it cost to live in Olsztyn?

Olsztyn is a cheap city. Apartment or dorm will cost from 350 to 600 PLN. Food products, bus-everything is cheap for people with EURO currency.
