What is it like to live in Oklahoma City? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

If you're looking for a relatively quiet place to go, Oklahoma City is great for you. At the city center is Bricktown with pretty good things to see and do. Mid-town is fun for artists, especially in the spring in summer.

What is the student lifestyle like in Oklahoma City?

Students can live a pretty comfortable lifestyle here. Plenty of places offer discounts to students and people are pretty friendly for the most part.

How much does it cost to live in Oklahoma City?

Depending on where you live, costs can vary.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Oklahoma City? Is there any advice you can give?

Most campuses offer housing accommodation, but usually there are houses and apartments close-by when they're full. I advise getting in early if you want on-campus housing, or check with your school about shuttle services around the area. Some major campuses have a free bus service in the immediate area that students without transportation can use.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is diverse here. We don't have any particular foods native to Oklahoma, but there are plenty of small diners that you might enjoy.

What places would you recommend visiting in Oklahoma City?

Midtown Plaza district and Paseo district in the summer. so many fun things to see and do. Harkins theater for movies, all the museums, Frontier City is a small theme park and white water Bay, a small water park. The star fair is a must in September. If you can go to an Oklahoma City Thunder game, do it!

Is it good to eat out in Oklahoma City? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I love eating out in midtown and Asian district. Golden Phoenix and Feungs Kitchen are great for big groups

Is the nightlife good in Oklahoma City? Where is good to go?

The nightlife is so-so. There are a few clubs in Bricktown, but usually hit or miss. There are quite a few bars if you aren't much of a dancer.

What advice would you give future students heading to Oklahoma City?

Oklahoma City has a lot of hidden gems. It seems boring at first but if you really take the time to find things you'll really enjoy it here.
