The most interesting thing about Nouackchott is not about buildings or how it looks like, no, the most interesting thing there is that its people are very humble and simple, who you can live with simply. However, the most important thing before that all, is that Nouackchott is a safe place to live in.

The living costs in Nouackchott is very cheap. Everything is cheap, which is one of the brilliant things about it.

Sometimes it depends on the region that you belong to, for instance, people of Nouackchott are coming from different regions of Mauritania, and each region is known with a special dish. But in general, many people don't care about these things.

The most attractive place in Nouackchott is Tavragh Zaine. But remember too, it's the most expensive place there.

Yes, absolutely. If you like modern places there are many great restaurants in Tavragh Zaine. And if you like something simple, there are places outside the city not far, that people go to when they want to relax and get away from the crowds.
Therefore, there are many restaurants which you can like everywhere in there.

Is the nightlife good in Nouakchott? Where is good to go?

Yes.
In the night, I recommend you to go to the beach, it's fantastic in that time,and have some of the barbecue.

My advice to any student coming to Mauritania is never be worry. Nouackchott is not like the other places which when you're traveling to you get nervous, no, when you visit Nouackchott you will be relieved in the beginning of your time. People are very kind, and it's very safe.
