English curiosities: so modern yet so old

I am going to seem like a freak but these things affect the life of an Erasmus student.

The English are so advanced and in my bathroom there is still a water tap; boiling hot; and another water tap; freezing cold.

A photo to complete the freak; They should at least warn you that you are going to burn yourself!

What happens if you want to wash your face and / or wash your hands without leaving your hands as blocks of ice or scolded?

  • Turn the hot water tap on and wait until it warms up a little bit and quickly before it burns you, wash your face.
  • Wash your face bravely with cold water.
  • Fill the sink with hot and cold water, which is too difficult.
  • Turn the taps on and take cold water, followed immediately by hot water.
  • Wash your face using the tap in the kitchen.

I normally opt for being fast like a bolt of lightening and use the water before it burns me.

However, if you need more time (to remove a face mask), it is complicated and you end up washing your face in the kitchen.

Anecdote number one hundred thousand of this Erasmus in Victoria Hall G. 4

I have created anecdotes that mean nothing:

  • Every time we go to Tesco, I buy a pack of Cheerios if these are on offer at a pound. Will we have cereal boxes? hahaha
  • Whilst partying, fill the cork board in the dining room with all the parties and restaurant leaflets that pass under the door, it is more decorated!
  • Buy two of everything because Tesco always has two for one.
  • Have 4 tea towels because one is not enough.

Right, I do not remember any more and I don't have any more time but it is very clear that there are many! Hahaha
