Why did you choose to go to Norwich, United Kingdom?

I am part of the Erasmus exchange programme and I am currently spending one term in the University of East Anglia.

How long does the scholarship last? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It lasts one term and I receive a grant from the Erasmus programme which covers my monthly room rent of £400/pm as well as I receive a loan from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund which covers my other expenses such as food, transport etc.

What is the student lifestyle in Norwich like?

It is a combination of hardwork and fun.

Would you recommend the city and the University of East Anglia to other students?

What is the food like?

There are a lot of restaurants which offer a wide range of cuisines and there are fastfood restaurants as well.

Did it cost you to find accommodation in Norwich?

No.

How much does it cost to live in Norwich?

It depends on one's lifestyle and habits but my monthly rent is £400 and I eat out quite a lot but if I do grocery shopping I spend about £100-£200 a month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes and yes, there are language courses being offered at the University.

What is the easiest or most economical way to travel to Norwich from your city?

The easiest way from Oslo to Norwich is by plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Norwich?

Revolution Bar.

And to eat? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Norwich?

Wagamama and Five Guys.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are galleries and museums e. g. Wymondham Heritage Museum.

Any other advice that you could give to future students going to Norwich?

Observe the local practices such as saying thank you when getting off the bus and standing in line when waiting for the bus or paying at the till.
