What is it like to live in Norrköping? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I was born and raised there, it is a very beautiful town, nice parks and many green areas. I would recommend it to someone who prefer a smalll but beautiful town.

What is the student lifestyle like in Norrköping?

I never was a student there.

How much does it cost to live in Norrköping?

Avarage costs, like the rest of Sweden. Apartments can be slightly cheeper though.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Norrköping? Is there any advice you can give?

It is hard to find a small apartment, to share an apartment with friends or other student is probably more realistic than to find an own place.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The swedish food is good, somethings like a fishdish we call "sill" and such may not be popular, but the meatballs with potatoes and brown sause is delicious. Very much a potato loving country :)

What places would you recommend visiting in Norrköping?

the center, it is nice to walk through the old industry buildning by the river, also take a walk around "Åbackackarna" is something you should do if you stay in Norrköping.

Is it good to eat out in Norrköping? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

My favorite restaurant is Manesa, close to a park. It is a spanish tapas restaurant with great food and exellent daquiris!

Is the nightlife good in Norrköping? Where is good to go?

The nightlife is fairly descent. I was not a student so I don´t know how the studentpub are but i would recommend Hugos if I was in my twentys and wanted to go clubing. There are a lot of good pubs though, such as bishops arms and in the summer a place called Trädgårn, in english translation= the backyard, or garden.

What advice would you give future students headed to Norrköping?

Swedish people can sometimes be a bit grumpy, but you should not be offended by that, we are that way beacause we have such a long winter :)
