Not difficult at all, there are lots of cheap hotels/hostels

Nothing really special in this region, but of course you can try some dishes of Russian cuisine here, example: borsh, pelmeni, blini, pirozhki
What places would you recommend visiting in Nizhniy Novgorod?
Chkalovskaya Stairs, Kremlin, Yarmarka, B.Pokrovskaya street. Many museums.
Is the nightlife good in Nizhniy Novgorod? Where is good to go?
