27 year old journalism grad student, he/his/him pronouns, looking for fall semester housing in New York City
- Move in date: 10 August 2021
- Minumum stay: 4 months
Hello!
I'm a grad student at CUNY school of journalism who has one final semester. The past year I spent taking classes remotely in Rochester, NY, but now that things are getting better, I'm looking to take classes in person.
My ideal living space would be a relatively quiet place with a bed, desk big enough for a second monitor, probably a kitchen and shower would be nice too.
Besides that though, I'm pretty okay with any other living arrangements. I generally view an apartment as just a place to sleep and spend a lot of time outside of it (especially living that student life)
Quick hits:
- Lived in China for three years (English teacher) and love to travel.
- Former high school teacher changing careers/still seeing what's out there.
- I like the general grabbag of nerd stuff, but don't take it too seriously.
- Enjoy theater, art, films, sport events, both low and high culture.
- I'm not a good cook and will usually go for convenient over the lovingly crafted one.
- Dog person at heart, but cats are cool too.
- Doing consistent fitness is more about mental health than physical for me.
-COVID messed up my sleep schedule, so we'll see how that manages to right itself to be more normal for a 9-5 grind.
- More of a crockpot about the world as opposed to a frying pan.
Thanks for reading! Feel free to shoot me a text to learn more if you feel like it!
-Jacob
