20 year old man who doesn't smoke is looking for accommodation in New york

I'm coming for 1 month to know the place where I live for six months in august . I m coming with Erasmus program to New York at the second half of the year , but I need an accommodation for one month especially in Manhattan. I'm studying aeronautical engineering in Turkey and I don't use cigarette and alcohol, I do modelling too . If I don't find any place to stay , I can evaluate to come with my one friend .
