Experience in Northern Arizona University, United States by Lane
Generally, what is Northern Arizona University like?
The university has a very relaxed environment and everyone is very friendly. There are lots of sports, clubs and activities to do around the city; since its in the mountains everyone likes to go hiking, snowboarding, camping, etc. The university has a beautiful, very green campus with its historic buildings as well as newer and more modern buildings.
What are the facilities like?
The facilities are very nice! NAU is always upgrading and doing renovations on all their facilities to keep them modern, up to date and more carbon neutral.
What are the tutors like?
There is plenty of free campus tutoring which is very nice. The tutors are great; you can usually have a walk in tutoring session or schedule an appointment. Tutoring like this is available for many of the major classes such as math, chemistry and biology; for classes such as computer science and engineering there are not many tutoring options.
Are the lessons easy in Northern Arizona University?
It really depends on wheat you are studying. Of coarse you can judge the difficulty of the class by its title; most 100 or 200 level classes will be fairly easy where as your 300 and 400 level classes will be very difficult.
Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?
There is always something to do on campus. the university organizes carnivals, events, casino night, concerts, movies, guest speakers, and much much more. There are also clubs and groups you can join. Such as a soccer club or video game club.
Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?
For the most part yes. I have had a few bad instructors, but for the most part the instructors at NAU are great.
