In the territory of Campania region, the main color is certainly green- there are lots of seedling beds, luxury vineyards, southern superlative trees, which stimulate to breath deeper and create special emotions inside. At first side that can’t be said about Naples, the capital of this region, where the life is in full swing 24/7.

Fortunately, during the last decades (especially after earthquake in 1980), the global urban redevelopment was carried out and it was decided to expand the space of green zone of Naples. For your attention here is the list of main Neapolitan parks:

  • Bosco di Capodimonte– the most majestic park of Naples, surrounded by the vast forestall area with the plenty of trees and plants. Close to entrance there is a must-visit museum, with the supreme palm trees and mind-blowing panoramas.

  • Parco del Virgiliano - to my opinion, it is one of the most panoramic places in the city. Park territory is located in Posillipo mountain, which opens a view on Nisida island, old villa Pausilypon and the best parts of Neapolitan cost.

  • Villa Comunale – the green decoration of Chiaia’s district sea front. Many years ago only “celebrities” had a permission to entry this park, just one time a year the doors opened for common men (it was a day of the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary).
  • Oasi naturale degli Astroni - this natural resource is also known as “the green heart of city”; it is situated on large volcanic zone Campi Flegrei. Apart from the rich plant kingdom, the territory of the park is fully settled by animals. You also can find here more than 50 types of butterflies!
  • Villa Floridianais the treasure of Vomero district. The park is divided into public and private zones, in the private part one more marvelous historical villa is located. Public part gives an opportunity to visit museum of ceramics “Duca di Martina”. Villa Floridiana opens the wonderful view on the Gulf of Naples.

Besides Napoli, Campania includes a lot of other places curious to explore. In my next posts I will tell you about my trips to Caserta, Benevento and Amalfitano coast.
