Living a new life in Murcia

Blogpost nr. 1

Hello everyone and welcome to this blog!

I'm Therese, 23-year-old Dane studying abroad in the wonderful city of Murcia, which I'll introduce you to in such a detailed manner, you'll be perfectly capable of imagining what living here is like.

Therefore, without further ado, let's get started:

Murcia, located in Southeastern Spain, just around 80 km South of Alicante, is a little bit of all the best things in life; lively streets, friendly people, bubbly cafés, delicious food and amazing weather, all framed in picturesque scenery.

However, Murcia is so much more than that, at least to me: To me, Murcia is a home. It's the familiarity with something that once was so unfamiliar. Coming here from Denmark, arriving in January, I felt at ease almost immediately as the sun kissed my cheeks. (On a sidenote, speaking of kissing cheeks - that's the norm down here when greeting someone casually, which can take a little getting used to, although I find it rather adorable).

PS. Check out the attached photo and you'll see me in front of my home.

See you soon,

xoxo, Therese
