Why did you choose to go to Murcia, Spain?

Source

I wanted to learn Spanish language school in Murcia. I need the c1 in Spanish for my university in London. Spanish Town is the leading Spanish language school in Murcia.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

A year.

What is the student lifestyle like in Murcia?

I live in a private apt given to me by Spanish Town so I study Spanish there too.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Murcia to other students?

SpanishTown is great and Murcia is great too. I came with Erasmus but wanted to learn Spanish also...

What is the food like?

Great.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Murcia?

No, Spanish town gave me a place to live where I study Spanish too and I offer English conversation in exchange for free bed and breakfast.

How much does it cost to live in Murcia?

It's not too expensive.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Forget the university and go to Spanish town. They offer classes in small groups of 4 and nobody speaks English... nobody... The other big institute here in murcia for Spanish is too much party... Spanish town is more serious.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Murcia from your city?

Source

Foot.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Murcia?

Go to the official Erasmus bar La puerta falsa (The false door)... there it's quiet and all is in Spanish. It's the official Erasmus bar...

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Murcia?

Go to burger king or tapas in el Drexco...

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

All. A 1000 years old church.. The synagogue where the local Jewish community meets too. And don't forget the orchard..

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Murcia in the future?

If you want to party Murcia sucks... it's not a party city, but it's great for Spanish classes. Prepay Spanish Town and get free housing if you agree to offer conversation classes in English.
