Why did you choose to go to Murcia, Spain?
Because of the project of the "Fundación Síndrome de Down de la Región de Murcia" (FUNDOWN).
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
10 months, 1800€.
What is the student lifestyle like in Murcia?
The activities only for students aren't that interesting but is easy, if you want to, to know the locals and have a lot of fun while knowing the local culture and costumes.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Murcia to other students?
Definitely yes.
What is the food like?
Cheap and good once you know the good sites and if you go to the local market.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Murcia?
I've needed two days to find a good accommodation for the whole Erasmus experience.
How much does it cost to live in Murcia?
Not much, for example the rent was 180€ for a single room in a nice house in the city centre.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Depends on you, but the University offers many courses.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Murcia from your city?
By plane.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Murcia?
All sites except those for Erasmus. You will see always the same people and your experience will be very limited.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Murcia?
The part of the city called "Las Tascas" in the centre offers many good restaurants.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Ask the locals!
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Murcia in the future?
As any Erasmus experience is all about the people, so go out and meet some locals!
