What is it like to live in Montreal? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

According to me, Montreal is the best place in the world to live and to visit. I used to travel a lot, but I have never found such combination of great people, business opportunities, relaxing live style, bunch of events, etc., like in Montreal.

What is the student lifestyle like in Montreal?

As been said, students have a lot of opportunities to go out, a bit of everything for everybody - cultural events, theatre, expositions, festivals and musicians from all over the world, outdoor, indoor, etc.

How much does it cost to live in Montreal?

Considering salaries and the life costs, and comparing to the other cities in Canada, it is quite cheap.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Montreal? Is there any advice you can give?

Not at all! You have a bunch of options! Once you make a profile, people who offer the accommodation will contact you every day!

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Since Montreal is (besides Toronto) the biggest multicultural city in Canada, you can find a wide variety of food from all around the world. I prefer healthy food, like sushi.

What places would you recommend visiting in Montreal?

Mont Royal, Old port, Biodome, Place des Arts, Jardin Botanique, La Ronde, Parc Jean Drapeau, etc.

Is it good to eat out in Montreal? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I don't have it. I always prefer to go somewhere else, but, overall, I like Saint-Denis street.

Is the nightlife good in Montreal? Where is good to go?

It depends if you are a clubbing person or you prefer cultural events or house parties, etc... but I would definitely say Place des Arts during the summer because there are bunch of events (almost everything is free).

What advice would you give future students heading to Montreal?

You do not have to be afraid of anything. People are gonna accept you wonderfully, but if you wanna meet a lot of people, use couchsurfing web site. You will meet such a huge diversity of the people like nowhere in the world and if that is your passion, you will have the best time of your life!
