17km from Nice, come and take in a view which will take your breath away. La Tête de Chien provides an incredible panorama and an unbeatable view over the Principality of Monaco.
This cliff is situated in the area of La Turbie, and reaches an altitude of 550 meters . If you are visiting the Côte d’Azur, do not miss this place!
Come and enjoy the tranquility and the view by bringing a picnic or go for a walk. In fact, a little known site among tourists, the area is still peaceful.
Do not be taken by surprise if you come across highliners. These extreme tightrope walkers love this place and often come to practice their skill. They tie their rope between two rocks and cross the precipice with a baffling ease. If you have the chance, let yourself be amazed by the impressive sight.
if you are a budding photographer, make the most of it by going during the evening and wait for sunset. The colours in the sky are magnificent and you will leave with some amazing photos.
You could also go when the sky is clear which may give you the chance to see the outline of Corsica, which may be seen in the horizon.
The spot of easily accessible by car by taking the motorway from Nice. It is only a two-minute walk between the parking spot and the view itself.
Sporty people could also get there on foot. The starting point of the trail is located in the town centre of Cap d’Ail. It takes three hours to reach the end of the trail (return journey).
Come and take in the sights from La Tête de Chien, and make the most of the scenery! However, be careful, the site is very wild and isn't totally secure.
