25 years old masters student looking for accommodation in Milan

Hello! This is Eda from Istanbul, Turkey. I will be studying a masters degree in Universita Cattolica starting September 2014.
I currently am looking for accommodation alternatives in the city. I prefer a room of my own with a seperated bathroom and a kitchen that I can cook in but I'm comfortable with sharing a home, a studio apartment or a dormitory as long as I have my own space. I've visited Italy & Milan twice this year but would like to explore the city even more. The maximum limit I can go is €500 (including the approximate bills for electricty, water & internet use).
The option needs to be at a central location, closeness to the campus is very important for me.
I'm an easy going, friendly, responsible person looking for friends to share this experience with. I speak English & Turkish fluently and a very limited Spanish; I'm looking forward to learning Italian.
