25 year old german looking for a flat with cool people in Milano

Buongiorno!
I am Yorick and I will start my Master's Degree (Politics, Philosophy and Public Affairs) at the Unimi in fall. I am hoping to find a nice flat with even nicer people that can show me around in the city and introduce me to the proper italian way of living.

I really like to be active and am interested in all kinds of activities. First and foremost I want to meet new people and what better way to do that than with drinks and good food (I am an acceptable cook for german standards ... not sure how I'll hold up in Italy ?). 

In Germany I spend my free time going to concerts, visiting art galeries or enjoying nature while hiking, biking or swimming. But I know how to relax and kick back for a day or two as well. Some calmer hobbies of mine include photography, reading, a bit of chess and video games.

If you'd ask me about my ideal week, it would probably look close to this:

Monday – recovery from the weekend, maybe do some cooking together in the evening and play some games afterwards

Tuesday – go out and explore the town a bit, visit a gallery and drink a responsible amount of wine at a cozy place near a canal

Wednesday – My past mistakes come back to haunt me and I gotta study all day. ??? Maybe sneak out late for a snack somewhere and watch a film?

Thursday – Rest Day.

Friday – Going out to dance!

Saturday – Sleep late, then go out for some nice food in the afternoon. Then go swimming?

Sunday – Joker Day. Everything is possible from a trip to the countryside, slacking off in the park with a book or spending the day with friends.

But in the end I also really like to be spontaneous and just let stuff happen. This list is more to give an impression of me as a person. :)
