What is it like to live in Milan? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I recommend Milan for everyone who is curious and desires to find out new situations, in really all fields of knowledge and entertainment.
For example, there are many kinds of museums, among that there are very important ones. Furthermore, always about art, there are countless galleries which show contemporary artists (Milan is, at the present, the most important city in Italy for the contemporary art). You can find also museums related to history of music or archeology, as well as the Natural History Museum. There are everywhere important historic buildings, often visitable.
There are always events, practically every day, starting from concerts of any kind to gallery openings or events in discotheque. Also there is quite always nightlife, You just shall know where to go (there are sites on internet to find all these events and keep up to date).

However, Prices are pretty high than normal. Only a slice of pizza bought in centre of Milan costs about 4-5 euros, for example.
During the day the city is full of traffic, especially in the centre, and obviously crowded; but it is easy to go out of the city with public transports and have a break, for example in the Chiaravalle Abbey or in the beautiful Pavia.

Public transports are excellent.

Is the nightlife good in Milan? Where is good to go?

Of course, if You are interested on the nightlife, You should go to "Navigli", or attending the centre; but You can also go to the zone nearby "Porta Romana".
