Why did you choose to go to Milan, Italy?

Milan is considered to be one of the most amazing cities in the world!It is the city where the fashion is born and where one can live almost as a king.. One can travel fast and easy in central and northern Europe and of course universita degli studi di Milano is a high standard university.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship was for four and a half months and I received from the greek government about 2000E.

What is the student lifestyle like in Milan?

Pretty amazing..I was staying in a student house with an Erasmus girl from Turkey and there we had the chance to have parties and exchange experience, food and music from our countries. Apart from that I met many Italian girls that guided me through Milano and showed me what it is like to be an Italian student there.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Milan to other students?

Without doubt. The university Is well known and admired worldwide and all the professors that I had contact with were really interested to make me feel comfortable and help me with the lessons. The level is pretty high and a student has to earn a lot there.

What is the food like?

Italian food is amazing!!!!Pizza, spaghetti and many much more that you cannot find anywhere else..

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Milan?

No since the university and the Erasmus office had already planned that before my landing in Milano.

How much does it cost to live in Milan?

It costs about 500E if someone wants to live like a Milanese.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is pretty easy and someone that gets around the city learns to communicate easily! Of course there were language courses twice a week which were really helpful.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Milan from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Milan?

In the navigli. It is where the ponts meet and there you can find easily apperitivo places where young people meet between 7-10 am in order to get a cocktail and chat around.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Many interesting churches, the Scala, the Brera aerea and Parco Sempione.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Milan in the future?
