Why did you choose to go to Milan, Italy?

As a designer student, I consider Milan one of the best places for development in this area of study.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

5 months. 520 E per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Milan?

Preatty busy, I'd say...you want to be in all classes, all fameous places and at every party..so not so much time to sleep.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Milan to other students?

Definatly, from all my heart!

What is the food like?

Fantastic!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Milan?

I fount it through Erasmus Booking...it was a small comision, I guess..

How much does it cost to live in Milan?

It depends on what you have in mind..just to live, around 300 (without rent). For visiting museums, taking a trip once in a wile, going for aperitivo or a pizza once or twice per week and indulging in street food...another 300, I guess.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I am a Romanian so for me it was easy to understand (as I supose it is for Spanish or French students). To talk..well in took me a couple of month to get well on the street...cant just yet sustain an accademical exam.
Yes, there were courses available...twice a week, an hour each.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Milan from your city?

By plane (less than 15 E per flight withou luggage...around 50 with louggage).

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Milan?

Naviglio Grande, Duomo aperitivo difrent places, Milano Porta Garbaldi.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Milan?

Well, I loved the atmosphere of restaurants near Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. Small streets, romantic atmospere, dimmy night lights, excellent food!

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Palazzo Reale and Duomo for sure, but also Pinacoteca di Brera, Biblioteca Ambrosiana, Castelo Sforza, Basilica Santa Maria del Grazie (Cenacolo Vinciano), Teatro Scala di Milano...and much more.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Milan in the future?

Try to grasp as much Italian as you can as Eanglish is not really well known here (excepting of course cultural sites and different museums).
Try to adapt to the pace of life here...learn about the beauty of a well lived life.
Don't miss a thing...you'll have plenty of time to sleep later!
