Why did you choose to go to Milan, Italy?

I am doing my post-graduation in Interior designing. Milan is always known for its arts and design culture. I am fascinated by architecture here. So what better then Milan to perceive designing course.

What is the student lifestyle like in Milan?

Student lifestyle in Milan is good, if you have a good company to hangout life here is interesting. But if you are a student you should know Italian language otherwise it is very difficult to survive.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Milan to other students?

Yes it has various carrier options to opt for. Universities have a good education system here.

What is the food like?

Italian food is always lovely, who does'nt love Italian pastas, pizzas and gelato ofcourse. There are lots of restaurants and cafes here. But if you are a vegetarian there are lot of problems, you have less options to eat when you go out. I am a pure vegetarian so i don't find veg food easily adding to it i don't even eat eggs so it gets little difficult attimes.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Milan?

Yes, finding accommodation in Milan is not easy. Its expensive too. Just incase if you are planning to study in Milan, make sure you plan your accommodation prior.

How much does it cost to live in Milan?

Living in Milan is not that expensive. Groceries and normal living costs are moderate, But accommodation is expensive. Rest it depends on your standard of living.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Language is a huge problem in Milan. If you know proper Italian stay in Milan is easy for you. I dint knew Italian so communication with the locals is very difficult. People in Milan are really very nice but most of them don't understand english, so learning Italian would be great idea if living in Milan. There are few universities in Milan which provide languages courses within the campus.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Milan from your city?

I came from International country so flight was convenient and easiest for me. If you are traveling from within European countries bus and train are good options too.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Milan?

There are many clubs and party places in Milan. Navigli is good too.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Milan?

There are many good restaurants in Milan, personally i have'nt been to most of them because i don't get vegetarian food everywhere. If you are vegetarian and looking for good veg and Indian food you can always consider Shri Ganesh, Tandoori bites,AL Noor.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are many architectural buildings, churches, castles to visit. One can visit Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery, Sforzesco Castle, Milan Cathedral, Piazza del Duomo. Piazza del Duomo is my favourite place in Milano.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Milan in the future?

No advice as such, only one thing i would like to mention learn Italian.
