Why did you choose to go to Milan, Italy?

Fuente

I chose to go to Milano because of the lifestyle and similarity in-country when compared to my country. One main reason was also my University there.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship is 5 months long. I received 70% in the beginning and 30% I'm still waiting to receive. The total is about 1450.

What is the student lifestyle like in Milan?

I feel it's very good because Milan is a great city to live in! Also, you get very close to other students mainly at your university.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Milan to other students?

Yes, for sure. The transports are great there. My university was Bocconi and I loved it very much!

What is the food like?

The food is great! Pasta, pizza, ice cream... easy if you are vegetarian like me.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Milan?

Yes, very much. And I didn't like my landlord at all.

How much does it cost to live in Milan?

It's quite expensive. If you share a room it's about 400€ per month with utilities. If you have your room it's about 600€.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

In my university, there were available many Italian courses and I engaged in a beginner one. It's hard to be able to speak in the daily.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Milan from your city?

From Porto, it's by plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Milan?

I would recommend the ESN disco partnerships if you want to meet other students (Just Cavalli, Old Fashion.. ) but I would probably try Volt.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Milan?

Best pizza is in Piz near Duomo. Temakinho for the best sushi!

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Inside Castello Sforzesco (if I'm not making a spelling mistake), Brera area
