At least 1000 euros per month.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Milan in the future?

My recommendation is first st least try to learn the basics from Italian language, Italians are very comprehensive when you are trying to learn their language and they will try to communicate with you as well and download a navigation app for you to know which transport to take and to see at what time they are still running because public transportations closes at 12 or 2 but there are night buses, so you know which night bus to take.
