Why did you choose to go to Milan, Italy?

The university I'm studying in (Polimi) is ranked 7th and also I had some friends from Milano.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

5 semester. Around 5000 per year that is definitely not enough to live in Milano but with a little more money you can deal with it.

What is the student lifestyle like in Milan?

Last year was the best year of my life :)
I experience many new things, found new friends and enjoy Milano parties. Although lectures are really tough and will fill your day till afternoon.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Milan to other students?

It depends on so many things but in my opinion for those who want to study engineering Milan is a good choice. You can study in a university with high reputation and the city is also perfect. Moreover, there are several lakes around Milan those are extremely beautiful.

What is the food like?

I don't need to say anything about the food as Italians are famous around the world for their perfect foods.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Milan?

It is a little harder than I thought to find accomodation in Milan.

How much does it cost to live in Milan?

It really depends on the person. But generally you need to pay around 350-400 for double room or 400-600 for single room and more 200-300 for food and entertainment. But it really differ from person to person.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are some language courses in university. I participated but I didn't find them useful due to the fact that it was just once a week.
But generally Italian is not as difficult as German or French in my opinion.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Milan from your city?

This is also depends on the time you want to travel but usually Mahan air is the most economical choice.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Milan?

There are several choices and all of them are good.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Milan in the future?

Just come and enjoy Milan :)
