Life changing Erasmus in Brno WS-2018-2019

Hello guys,

I am Sofia From greGre and I will narrate you my experience from my Erasmus in Brno.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I took money for 5 and a half month. I was taking a scholarship aroun 490 euros per month. The money are enough if you want to stay in brno but if you want to travel you need more or less 100 euros more.

Would you recommend the city to other students?

Definately yes. Brno is a student city ,you can meet people from all over the world. There are three big universities full of students. Brno is much cheaper from Prague too. You will not spend too much money. Also it is in the center of many countries so you can visit them all and also there are airport from which low fare air companies have a base. For example i went in Denmark with only 30 euros.

What is the food like?

Well the food in Czech Republic is not good. There is not variety in the food. In brno you can find good and cheap food in the pubs of wolf and eagle. They are in the center. Very nice beers and food. Big portions.

How much does it cost to live in Brno?

In general brno is much much cheaper than the other European cities. I think around 400 euros are enough.

What's the best way to travel to Brno from your city?

Well i think the best way is to travel in Vienna or to Bratislava and from there take a bus or a train to brno. They are closer than Prague.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Brno.

You should go to 7nebe,fleda,sono,faval, 2faces, metro, charlies,eagle,wolf and a shot bar behind the st jacobs church near kfc (behind it)

Is it easy to find accommodation.?

Well personally i was staying in JAK dormitories, block D, of Mendel university. Very nice room for 3 persons with private bathroom and kitchen. It costed 110 euros per month. Everything included. It is very easy to find accommodation in brno all the universities provide dormitories.

What advice would you give future students heading to Brno?

Well guys dont think about it. CHOOSE BRNO. You will have the best time of your life. You will gain a new family and as we used to say WE ARE ERASMUS SHALALALALALAAA WE ARE ERASMUS SHALALALALALAAA
