Serenity or Sweden?
Hello Everyone!
I would like to mention about my Malmö trip.I arrived here from Copenhagen by FlixBus.It lasted like 1 hour and 10 mins.Ticket prices change by departure times but I can say that they are like 10-12 euros. We passed through Oresund Bridge. It's about 15 kilometers. The view was fascinating but I'm used to seeing it because of my town,Istanbul.
We waited 10-15 minutes for passport control. Police had detection dogs but first I didn't supposed that it's a detection dog because it was Cocker and very cute.Anyway, there wasn't any problem from our bus and we arrived to the central station. It was an early saturday morning,so being a few people around was very normal.
I was walking around and exploring the city but although many hours passed, there were still a few people around.Almost all of them were jogging at parks. These parks could be named as forests because trees and lawns have the majority in these parks. Then I found coast and pier so I had a chance to see Malmö from many sides. Also it was a first time to touch Baltic Sea. It was really cold but it looked like pearl.
Then I visited to Slottsparken. I found a city library (Stadsbibliotek). It was like a castle or it was like a somewhere from Harry Potter Series :) Though, everywhere in Scandinavia like a fairytale,I think.
Now,it's time to mention about important thing (for students):money! You can pay with Danish krone but you will get your change as Swedish krona. But you couldn't pay with Danish krone as coin. But unfortunately, some places don't accept Danish krone.I think they don't want to put effort to change it.
Malmö is also expensive,so I couldn't eat at local restaurants,I prefered McDonald's. Furthermore, souvenirs were expensive.A magnet wasn't less than 5 euros. In another European countries, you can pay 10 euros for 3 magnets. As you can see from my picture, the weather was cold in April but people were eating ice-cream.I was also one of them because they were so sweet!
Hours passed, there were still few people.I can say that I didn't see any young Swedish people:) Most people were old. Now,I have a reason to visit Stockholm to compare it!
