Tarifa - one of the cities that are worth visiting in Andalucia
While you are on your Erasmus you are always thinking: how can I see as many places as possible without spending a lot of money?
One of the things me and my friends figured out was going on a couple of day trips around Andalucia. We managed to see Sevilla, Limitezero, Bolonia, Cadiz, Tarifa and Gibraltar. In this short post I am going to talk about one of mentioned cities - Tarifa.
The best way to see small cities that are located close to Malaga is to organise a trip with your friends. 5 of us rented the car, found the cheapest hostels in the different cities and went on our perfect journey.
Tarifa, which is located in the south part of Spain, may not be one of the most known Spanish cities but this small city has its own amazing atmosphere. If you enjoy doing water sports such as windsurfing or kitesurfing, Tarifa is just for you.
I haven't been there during the summer and I saw the place in the winter but the weather was still amazing. It was December and we were seeing the city in just a T-shirt.
I know though that during the summer, the place is just full of people who are in love with surfing and when it comes to the weather, it is really hot. If you wish to learn one of these water sports one day or just give it a try and see how it is on your own, you should visit Tarifa.
The biggest problem we had was finding the perfect restaurant since some of my friends disliked fish. If you are going to a city like this (located by the sea), you need to remember: be open to try different types of dishes!
Below you can check out a couple of pictures we took in Tarifa.
Tarifa might not have a lot of monuments worth seeing but the view, beaches and its own atmosphere makes the trip there worth making. We spent there only a couple of hours but managed to see the best places in the city.
If you are going for a trip around Andalucia, please remember to put Tarifa on your list!
