Surely noneone of you know that you read in the title, it is the name of a town. The town of my mother.

Is in the province of Avila, some 60 km from the capital, and quite near Salamanca.

Well this town is famous for paragliding enthusiasts, as this under the mountains of black rock, where fans of the sport come from all over the world to enjoy a flight over Piedrahita.

Black rock is part of the Sierra de Gredos, which is where the river Tagus.

They also say that if you go to this people you shall feel the very best in beef (steaks of Avila), lamb (lamb chops), pork (pig), and more.

Here you can also see the Palace of the Dukes of Alba, which belonged to them, but then donated it to the people.

So as you see a people who had some knowledge or have some importance.
