When I first decided to go to Manchester, I didn't really expect something very interesting or entertaining, but you never have to follow prejudices. First thing you have to do if you want to go to Manchester without spending too much money, you should use a cheap company like Ryanair, for example. The problem to fly toManchester from Málaga is that there aren't direct flights to Manchester, but anyway, you can go to a near city with a cheap flight, and then, take a train or a bus toManchester. Once you're in Manchester, you have to look for a bus (Magicbus), and buy a ticket for a week (depending on how long you are going to stay in the city). With this kind of tickets you can get any bus in the city as many times as you want till the ticket expires. Regarding to the stay in the city, you can choose between a students residence, a house family, a flat, etc... I stayed in a family house with a very nice woman with a son. It was in Old Trafford, which was a little bit far from the city centre, but It wasn't very difficult to get to there during the day, because during the night, there aren't busses to the outskirts of Manchester City. So you'd better live in a centric house or in a residence near to the centre, in order to be able to come back home by bus after going out and partying. The party time is the part you all must be expecting. Well, Manchester is a good choice for party freaks, since it has lots of different places where you can have a drink, dance, sing, and everything you are able to! The best discos for me were; The Birdcage;,;TigerTiger; and some others which names I don't remember now. Manchester is a multicultural city, so you'll find lots of different kinds of people everywhere, anytime. When I was there, I could asist to the Caribbean Carnival, which was quite funny and amazing. Of course, there are lots of shops of any kind you like. And if you love going shopping, you must go to;The Trafford Centre;, where you will find anything you can imagine, want or need! Surely, a really interesting you must not miss! I hope this may help you.
