General Library in Malaga

One of the most frequented by young people in Malaga is the general library.

It is located on the campus of Teatinos and it is a building where, apart from finding the most necessary books for all university courses, you can go to study. It is mainly used as an area of study. During exams periods it is impossible to find a seat. You should arrive early, or be lucky to see someone leaving just when you arrive.

There are many times when you can get to watch an argument or a fight for the seats. And there are many times when someone has gone for breakfast, to make a call or who is absent for some reason, and someone comes and takes the seat. Then the contention starts about the seat not being able to be kept for more than 30 minutes or so. There are videos of fights and other arguments inside the library even on Youtube.

In the exterior of the library, there are benches and garden areas where you can also see many students taking their breaks from study, many times the break is longer than the hours of study, because they enjoy the fresh air, and also talking. Inside the library it is forbidden to talk, and they end up talking for hours outside. Another thing that is very commented is that since the place is so frequented, some people get dressed as if they were going to a party. So many people comment that it appears to be "the Kiu" (famous disco in Benalmadena, Málaga), and while studying you can listen to the girls walking with their heels, so the noise will not let you concentrate.
