What is it like to live in Mainz? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Mainz is a perfect city as for student life. It’s not too big, and not too small.
And what is even more important is that city is full with young people because of huge number of universities and schools

What is the student lifestyle like in Mainz?

Since I had online semesters, I cannot judge fairly:( However, we all managed to meet with my groupmates in person e.g. we were watching online lectures together, gathering on trash air.
Mainz has huge advantage as a beautiful riverside where we always chill

How much does it cost to live in Mainz?

I’m living in a student dorm and it costs me 360 euros/month. It’s quite a lot but I have kinda personal apartment

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Mainz? Is there any advice you can give?

I didn’t have any problems with this

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I don’t like German cuisine that much, but thankfully we have tons of places with international cuisine

What places would you recommend visiting in Mainz?

River side, Mainzer Dom and ofc Frankfurt is in 30 min away

Is it good to eat out in Mainz? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is really nice! In evenings places are always full with people
I like places in city center and near the river

Is the nightlife good in Mainz? Where is good to go?

Haven’t experienced it so far bc of corona
But it is really promising as I heard
