What is it like to live in Mainz? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

In my opinion Mainz offers a great variety of things to do and everyone should be able to find at least one activity he/she/xyz likes. The best thing about Mainz is „Fastnacht“ which takes place in february and „Johannisfest“ which takes place in June/July,if you get the chance to be in Mainz during that time it is mandatory to visit them. I would also recommend visting the cities around Mainz, such as Frankfurt and Wiesbaden.

What is the student lifestyle like in Mainz?

Student lifestyle is perfect, some even say Mainz is the best city for students in Germany. They offer a lot of events, especially for students and life there never gets boring.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
