Lviv is a city in Ukraine with huge history, especially coneccted with Poland.
I have my family roots there, so i really wanted to see this city.
After some days of experiencing Lviv, me, my friend and my host decided to get drunk (What a strange thing for Ukraine, right? :D)
There is a strange thing in Ukraine, that you can not buy a beer legally after 10pm, so you have to buy it before. But we had this opportunity, thanks to our hosts and friends. We cought 3 bottles of wine for 3Eand decided to drink it in a nice place. Nice? Yes. Take a 30 minutes walk, go up, up, up... up.... and up and you finally are at the TOP of the city. There is a huge Ukrainian flag, which makes you feel more this Ukrainian thing.
Actually it is not a very turistic place at night, most of the turists come there during the day. I have not been there then, so i cannot compare but cmon! At night the view is so breathtaking. I mean- believe me. You can see whole Lviv from there, even though if you are tired of walking up there. Just sit and enjoy this breathtaking view.
At night, be aware- probably 95% of people there, are Ukrainians, not turists (maybe thats better! ) so trying to speak in English to someone can be strange. It is a very popular place for Ukrainan young people. Drinking wine there is really cool. So take your wine, go up, sit there and enjoy the night lights of whole Lviv from the bird perspective.
There is no way to fall down, while being at the top BUT the way up (Especially at night) without a good guide - I mean local person that you will follow, can end up with twisted ankle or something worse. There are no street lamps, so be aware and focus on the road (not wine then)
Strongly reccomend!
Ps. It is a really good place to do SLAVIC SQUAT with your squad! :D
