How is it Lugo to live? Would you recommend it? Can you describe the city to us?

Lugo is a small and calm city. Perhaps is not the city proper for an Erasmus. Nevertheless, I think that it has positive things: the city has ancient Roman monuments and remains, and it is very beautiful. The prices are quite reasonable, and you have nearby other students´ cities to visit. There are a lot of offers to practise any sport you like in your free time.

How is it the student life in Lugo?

Lugo campus belongs to the University of Santiago de Compostela, but the campus is smaller, and the degrees offered have less students. The party is not really big or frequent (Thursdays and Saturdays), but you can go to the old part of the town where there is a good atmosphere most of the week days.

How much does it cost to live in Lugo?

Sharing a flat costs around 100-200 Euros per person without heating. The quality of life is good, and the prices are quite cheap.

How is it the food? What are your favourite dishes?

The food in this area is generally good, but in Lugo it is better. There are a lot of cafeterias, restaurants and pubs and most of them with very good prices and a good menu. Nobody should leave the city without trying "Pulpo á feira" o "Pulpo a la gallega" (octopus).

Which places would you recommend visiting in Lugo?

The Roman Wall, which is a world heritage site by the Unesco, and the only roman wall that is well - preserved and that you can walk on it. The town centre and the historic part of the city, the Cathedral and the river.

Where you would recommend to eat in Lugo? Can you tell us your favourite places?

Lugo is a small city, but it has thousands of restaurants and cafeterias. It is remarkable that in the cafeterias you will get some free tapas when you order a drink.

Which places would you recommend to go out in a night out in Lugo?

Around the street of "Rúa Nova", commonly called as "the street of the wines", which is where you can start your night with some beers in the pubs that are between here and the Cathedral.
