Lucca is a little town where there are around 85. 000 people living, still we can increase this number if we count with the students who decide to study there or all of the tourists who visit it.

I didn't know a lot about this town until I arrived to Italy and everybody told me how beautiful it was. Curiosity beat me and I decided to take a train and check for myself. Now I can actually say it is worth it.

The thing I liked the most, it was the wall: a huge wall sorrounds the central part of Lucca. There are so many km of this wall with green areas, parks, restaurants, picnic areas... It is the perfect place to jog, run or just go for a walk.

For tourists the best way to go through it, is renting a bike and there are so many places where this can be done. Don't forget to bring a bottle of water! It will take more than 30 minutes to go through the whole wall!

This is just one of the most featured parts of the town, but inside Lucca you can see much more. I loved the Piazza Anfiteatro! It is a little hidden between all the commercial stores, ask where it is if you don't find it, you won't regret it! And tip: the cheapest postcards, you can find them there.

As in all the known cities from the Tuscany there are so many churches and palaces worth to see it. You can check them from the top of the wall but if you want to see all its beauty you will need to enter the town. My recommendations to visit: St Martin's Cathedral, the church of San Michele of Antraccoli, the Clock Tower, the Palazzo Pfanner and the church of San Giusto.
