Looking for a place to stay

We are two Master in Managemen Students, looking for a place to stay in London. We will spend one semester in London from 1 September to 16 December. Our school is in Hampstead, thus it would be great to find a place which is not more than 1 hour away. I am from Germany and my friend is from Portugal.
