Sights and "Calle del Laurel"

Logroño is a city in the north of Spain close to Pamplona. Logroño is a very nice city and has a lot of history as well. Likewise, I suggest walking and seeing the city at daytime so you can explore and see the markets and the life of the day!

One amazing thing about it is that the Camino de Santiago's pilgrimage walk goes through. It is one of the many cities the pilgrims go through to get to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain.

Logroño is a large city with many things to do and see and Logroño happens to be in La Rioja, where the best wine is! So I suggest going to a bodega (winery) for a fun trip and to see the beautiful bodegas Spain has to offer. There are many in this area and they are all so beautiful! The great thing about these bodegas is that they have been around forever so it is a different experience. On the other hand, there are more spots not to be missed:

  • Concatedral de Santa María de la Redonda: this is a beautiful cathedral to see inside as well. You can sit in the square and have a drink or tapas while being next to the cathedral and having an amazing view.
  • Iglesia de San Bartolomé: it is a beautiful church just a short walk from the cathedral, in romanic styled church.
  • "Calle del Laurel": this street is amazing! It has hundreds of small restaurants, each one specialised in a different tapa. The best tapas in Spain are on this street! They are so good and so fresh; the street is very crowded every night thanks to the popularity that it has gained from having the best tapas. You can find many traditional and new tapas here. Everything is made to order and it is amazing. I suggest going here to eat at night because the street is so alive and fun to have a drink and a tapa in this old narrow street.
