Limerick is a nice city to live in, the people are very friendly and helpful.
What is the student lifestyle like in Limerick?
It is very good, you are always close to friends and because its smaller than Dublin its very easy to make friends and stay in touch. There are lots of student events as well!
How much does it cost to live in Limerick?
It is quite cheap. Accommodation with bills included is normally around 3, 000 euro for the year food and normal day to day living expenses are cheap, depending on your location travel isn't necessary, because most amenities are in walking distance.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Limerick? Is there any advice you can give?
No, it's not difficult to find accommodation. There are lots of student housing around the University, I lived in Corbally Road, Grove Island the last 3 years and it is very good.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is good and reasonably priced. Also, there are lots of different restaurants serving food from around the globe.
What places would you recommend visiting in Limerick?
Adaire village.
Is it good to eat out in Limerick? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes, it is good to eat out. Au Chocalate is nice, The Butterly is also good for lunch.
Is the nightlife good in Limerick? Where is good to go?
Yes! Smyths Bar & Club Icon is very good, Crush, Nancy Blakes, Flanerys...
What advice would you give future students heading to Limerick?
Make the most of student events and activities.
