Erasmus Experience in Limerick, Ireland by Sofia
Why did you choose to go to Limerick, Ireland?
To improve my english and because I'm in love with this landscape.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
It lasted 4 months and you can get an scolarship that will help you a lot. You have to know where to go to buy stuff, otherwise Ireland seems very expensive.
What is the student lifestyle like in Limerick?
You can travel, have fun, meet new people, improve your language and you have to study as well.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Limerick to other students?
The University is amazing so, of course! The city center is really nice during the weekend in The Milk Market. It is a really cool city.
What is the food like?
The meat is really good, but... that's it! Hamburgers and chips.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Limerick?
It's not really easy to find accomodation, you have to be lucky and be careful that the house won't be too far from the uni.
How much does it cost to live in Limerick?
It depends on your lifestyle, just to let you know a pinte costs 4, 50€ at least.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
There is the EFL course, but i did not find it really useful. It's better to make some new friends and talk with them by yourself
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Limerick from your city?
By bus or in the University trip.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Limerick?
Icone and Castello.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Limerick?
I don't really know, you can easily find a good place where you can eat.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
There is the castle and a nice museum, but I prefere the landscape and the nature.

Hello,
My name is Denisa and I will come in Limerick next university year. I'm a little bit scared that I will not find a good and cheap accommodation. I will not be alone, I'll come with a colleague.
I was wondering if you could give us some tips& tricks about accommodation :)
Also, if you can share with us the place where you stayed and the price per month. We will be very grateful to you.
Thanks and I will love to hear from you :)
