Why did you choose to go to Limerick, Ireland?

Because of its history and King John's Castle

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship was 9 months long

What is the student lifestyle like in Limerick?

Student life is really good. There are parties for foreign students everyweek at The Stables and other pubs

Would you recommend the city and the University of Limerick to other students?

I'd definitely recomment UL to everybody. Their teaching staff is very understanding with foreign students

What is the food like?

Food's great as long as you go to the right places. Of course there are always fast food restaurants, but I'd rather go to a pub and order a good stew

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Limerick?

Not really. I booked a room at one of the on-campus dorms

How much does it cost to live in Limerick?

It's kind of expensive but it's bearable.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I'm not going to lie, the English spoken in Limerick, if you talk with the locals, is kind of hard because they have a very thick accent. However, you can get used to it pretty quickly.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Limerick from your city?

Just get on the city buses or simply get a bike and re-sell it once you need to go back to your countries. It's pretty easy to do since there are always new students coming to Limerick.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Limerick?

I'd recommend The Stables, The Lodge, The Hurlers (all of these pubs are near the campus) or just going to the city center. My favorite pubs were Molly Malone's and Dolans (both in town) and they have music sessions every other night

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Definitely King John's Castle, which has been fixed as of lately, the cathedral, the rugby stadium, and there's also a walk from the river (on campus) to the city center that is just awesome.
