Lima is a big city and it has a lot of things that, despite its modernity, you can still find romantic places where you can spend those special moments with that special person, whom you wish to share them with.

Right! Without any further ado, let's begin with these places where you can go to eat and also, simply go for a walk during the evening or see the sunset for a special date.

Parque del Amor de Miraflores (park):

I will start with the most romantic option for everyone, the famous 'Park of love', located in the touristic district of Miraflores - its name says it all - the park of love is one of the most romantic places in Lima. Above all because it has 'el monumento al beso' (the kissing monument). Here, at the foot of the monument, couples come to sit or be together, watching the sunset.

Every year, on 14 February, there are competitions for couples who can hold a kiss for the longest. Do you want to compete? The Park of love in Miraflores is also the place from where you can watch the sun go down, with a beautiful sunset during the summer. As it is on the 'Costa Verde', if you look down you can see people surfing and you can hear the sound of the waves.

Therefore, it is really perfect. Throughout the park, you will find different phrases about love written by many different Peruvian authors. The phrases are perfect if you want to share a peaceful moment with the person that you love.

Rosa Naútica restaurant:

From the Park of Love in Miraflores you can find a restaurant on the bay of the sea that has been in Lima for many years. Many people have taken a photo of the restaurant to remember this part of the city. The restaurant is called Rosa Naútica and to tell you the truth, its location is one of the most wanted in Lima.

Now, we must also realise that for this very reason, the Rosa Nautica Restaurant is not a place where you can go every day to eat, since it is not really cheap. If you want to save money but would still like to experience the restaurant, I advise that you go to see what it is like but instead of going to the Restaurant and asking for the menu, it is better go to the bar. 'Puente de los suspiros' in Barranco:

The traditional district of Barranco also has a very romantic place. There you can find one of the most simplistic places but also one of the most beautiful places in Lima. Barranco is considered the Bohemian district of Lima and you will find it once you pass by the Miraflores district.

One of the places that you can and should find is the 'Puente de los suspiros' (Bridge of sighs). You will find it lit up during the night, which makes it more intimate and romantic. There is nothing like being by the Bridge of sighs and beginning to walk down the descent to the bathrooms where you will find some restaurants that offer creole food; the wonders of anticuchos and restaurants that serve ceviche.

On the other hand, on the Bridge of sighs you are going to have two options. The first is to go via the higher part where the path is more narrow. If you walk until you reach the end of the cliff, you will usually find people with their guitars and drums, playing some Creole songs that you fall in love with.

Lastly, I tell you that the tradition of Lima says that when one is going to see the bridge of sighs for the first time, you must cross the bridge whilst holding your breath and asking for a wish. Parque de Aguas:

The 'Parque de Aguas' is a big park with 13 water fountains, each one of them different to the other. The best thing about this place is that you can go during the night and walk through its parks. This place is not so private as you will see, this option is one of the places most visited by adults, children and tourists. Either way you should go to the see the fountains full of colours, with music in the background. It is one of the places that will inspire you the most when trying to find somewhere to go in the city with the person that you love. Also, it is free. Enjoy it!

'El Parque el Olivar de San Isidro':

If you want to go on a walk between trees that are more than 400 years old, in plain light, then the park of Olivar is the place that you should go to see the beauty of it. Additionally, you will find the olive tree of happiness here, which according to tradition, was planted by San Martín de Porres himself, one of the Peruvian saints.
