Around the city they are lots of university and school for students. So it's lively thanks to them because during the month of July and August, the people decreased a lot.

Students go to Lille everyday to shop, to drink with friends and have fun.

It cost at least between 400-450€ all expensed included. You can find flats around the center of Lille for 250-300€ per month. And you can be help with the "APL", it's a help provide by the country to help on the monthly fee for every students who asked it.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lille? Is there any advice you can give?
You can find an appartment on the web or on the "CROUS" who gives the rooms. It's important to ask for a room and complete the file before the end of April because after you're on the list (means you have to wait for someone quit his apartment to free one)
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
You can find food everywhere of every sort (arabic, japanese, french... ). Just look on internet or ask people who lives already here.
What places would you recommend visiting in Lille?
I recommend Béthune street for his shops and cinema; the "Grand Place" there is beautiful house around and the meeting place for people; the "Vieux Lille" where all the shop like Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Guess... are; and Euralille which is the commercial center of the city.
Is it good to eat out in Lille? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
It depends on the restaurants like everywhere, you can always ask the peoples who eats there for more informations. I like the restaurant Empire where you can eat super good dessert and the menu have a good rapport quality/price. I don't eat much on Lille because it's not near my university (10 min) and I tend to eat more on the RU.
Is the nightlife good in Lille? Where is good to go?
Lots of my friends who came here for studies tend to say that you can have fun on the bars. I don't live near Lille because I live on the city and I need 30 min. at least to come at Lille. Which is really not tempted when I need a hour to come home from the university.
What advice would you give future students heading to Lille?
